I’m grateful that my family and I have had the opportunity to serve for our faith, for our community, and for our country. We swore an oath to support and defend the constitution of the United States, and to bear true faith and allegiance to it. If asked by the voice of the people, I will take this oath again and commit to fulfilling this responsibility with diligence, transparency, and respect.

Citizens of Davis County have been tremendously blessed. We have enjoyed unprecedented prosperity and growth in the 25 years I have lived here. It is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. Communities thrive when people serve God and others. This is what makes our community special. However, it can never be assumed to last if we aren’t vigilant and struggle to maintain our freedoms. The struggle is necessary and your voices need to be heard. Everybody has a voice and every voice matters.

As an Army Intelligence Officer, I have spent a significant part of my life identifying dangers and threats. These are sometimes obvious but most often, they are covert and subtle. I see real challenges for our future and believe the diversity of my life and leadership experiences can aid me in negotiating for our continued freedoms.

I’m ready to earn your confidence and trust, to serve as your voice in the Utah House of Representatives. I ask that you be engaged and truly get to know all the wonderful candidates that step forward to present themselves in this important democratic process.

John’s approach to leadership

Having served as a military leader, business leader, and church leader, I understand that the best quality a leader can possess is that of genuine love, kindness, and respect for others. Politics should be no different. I recognize that as your representative, every voice matters, every voice counts, and every voice deserves to be heard.
